About factions servers
Factions is team-based survival with PvP. You create or join a faction, claim land with power, build a fortified base and raid rival factions for loot. Power rises while you play and drops when you die, so overextending is risky.
It rewards organisation: good factions plan raids, build TNT cannons and defences and ally with other factions. Servers run in seasons, with a map reset every few weeks, so everyone gets a fresh start. If you like big team conflict, nothing else in Minecraft comes close.
What to look for in a factions server
- Regular map resets, so new players are not behind forever.
- Reasonable raid rules, such as offline protection or raid windows, if you cannot play all day.
- Anti-cheat and active staff, since PvP servers attract hackers.
- A healthy number of active factions, not one dominant group.

- Do Factions servers reset?
- Most run in seasons of a few weeks to a few months and reset the map between them. The listing or Discord usually shows the next date.
