Server Icon Maker

Make the 64×64 server-icon.png for the multiplayer list.

Background

Preview

Put the file next to your server jar (same folder as server.properties) and restart. It must be named server-icon.png and be exactly 64×64.

Server icon requirements

Minecraft shows a 64×64 pixel PNG next to your server in the multiplayer list. The file must be called server-icon.png and sit in the same folder as your server.properties. Restart the server after adding or changing it. Plugins like proxies (Velocity, BungeeCord) take the icon from their own config instead.

This tool works entirely in your browser, so your images are never uploaded.

Frequently asked questions

What size is a Minecraft server icon?
Exactly 64×64 pixels, saved as a PNG named server-icon.png. Other sizes are ignored by the game. This tool always exports a correct 64×64 file.
Where do I put server-icon.png?
In the same folder as your server jar and server.properties, then restart the server. Proxies such as Velocity and BungeeCord read the icon from their own folder or config.
Can I draw my own icon?
Yes. Use Draw pixel art to paint on a 32×32 grid with undo, fill and mirror, start from a block like the grass block or creeper, or turn any picture into pixel art.
Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything happens in your browser, so images never leave your device.
